Ward was born at MonroeLouisianaon 14 April1976. She was a student at the private Christian elementary school called Monroe Christian School. After completing the requirements for high school she transferred to River Oaks High School in the summer of her junior-year. In the school, she was a part of the dance and drill team. After a short period of time, after graduation, she attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward quit high school when she was thirteen years old and began modeling. Her acting career started a few more years down the road. She first appeared on screen in 1970. an uncredited character in the soap opera All My Children and was later scheduled to play in the sluggish NBC premier-time teen-drama Malibu Shores. The role she was cast in was Meg Cummings, a virgin in Sunset Beach in 1996. In 1999, she began a film career and starred as a character in The In Crowd as psychotic Brittany Foster. In theaters the film was unsuccessful, however it enjoyed some popularity on the cable market and on DVD. Ward played a part on screen in Shallow Hal in the year following, in which she was a supporting character.
